In 2011 John began the process of designing a small ecologically designed greenhouse. Permaculture designer and farmer Darrell Frey assisted with the design process and lent his experience of farming in a large bioshelter since the mid 1980's. Darrell is also author of Bioshelter Market Garden. Since September of 2013 the bioshelter has consistently produced, even through the coldest of winter days in 2014.
